An 82-year-old pensioner with walking difficulties was the victim of an attack while trying to cross the Kleiner Plan street. The incident happened around 6pm when a gray Daimler drove past him, startling the elderly man. He felt so frightened that he leaned lightly on the back of the vehicle to keep his balance. The driver of the car then got out and suddenly hit him in the face, as NDR reports.
The rioter left the injured man with minor facial injuries and then drove away in an unknown direction. Fortunately, there were several witnesses to the incident who apparently agreed to share their observations with the police. The responsible police station in Celle is now asking all witnesses to call the telephone number(05141) 27 70to report in order to advance the investigation.
