Celle archer Eberl shines: seventh place at championships!

At the German Field Archery Championships, which recently took place in Delmenhorst, the Celle archer Christoph Eberl was able to attract attention with an impressive seventh place. Despite his participation in this top-class competition, which was a debut for him, Eberl scored 288 rings with his bare bow and was therefore the best-placed participant from Celle. His performance was remarkable and it shows that he has a good knack for the sport. Other Celle shooters were also able to demonstrate their skills: Ulrich Paape came in 13th with 290 rings, while Andreas Staszewski also took 15th with 288 rings. Dieter Fröhlich finished the competition in 28th place with 264 rings. The recurve shooter Jürgen Batel was able to secure 14th place at the Masters with 256 rings, which underlines the strong performance of the Celle shooters. In addition to the Celle shooters, well-known names from other parts of Germany also appeared, such as Jens Asbach, who competed in the master class with the compound bow. The former world champion from Nidderau had to admit defeat this time and achieved a respectable second place with 388 out of 432 possible rings, surpassed by Markus Höck. However, Asbach's remarkable series of eleven DM titles since 2012 was interrupted. Michael Stumpf from Elters was also able to secure a place on the podium: He achieved runner-up title in the bare archery category in the men's class and only missed the title by 21 rings, which illustrates the generally exciting competition.
