Helios Clinic Cuxhaven: New chief physicians fight against waiting times!

A comprehensive restructuring has taken place at the Helios Clinic in Cuxhaven, which underlines the clinic management's commitment to improving patient care. Clinic managing director Tim Wozniak is pleased about the new additions in important areas. Particularly noteworthy are the chief physician positions in pediatrics, the central interdisciplinary emergency room as well as in trauma surgery and orthopedics, which are now fully filled again CNV Media reported.

As of June 5th, Lima Jafari-Konermann will be the new chief physician of the central interdisciplinary emergency room team. With her many years of experience in cardiology, she brings valuable expertise that will help shorten waiting times for patients through improved coordination between specialist departments. Jafari-Konermann was previously managing senior physician at the Aller-Weser Clinic in Verden and is a specialist in internal medicine, emergency and intensive care medicine.

New faces in trauma surgery and pediatrics

Since July 1st, Dr. Taha Khateeb leads the team as chief physician of trauma surgery and orthopedics. His additional qualifications in special orthopedic and trauma surgery promise exciting innovations in clinic operations. Khateeb specializes in endoprosthetics and arthroscopic procedures. There was also a change in the field of pediatrics: Dr. Carmen Aramayo-Singelmann has been working as senior physician and pediatric hemato-oncologist since June 1st. These changes are part of strategic planning to improve the clinic's range of services.

The clinic is required to submit service groups for the upcoming hospital reforms by the end of June. Wozniak has already announced that the clinic will at least maintain its offerings in pediatrics and obstetrics, which will also intensify communication with resident doctors.

Construction projects and expansions

The ongoing construction work on the building and the renovation work on the cardiac catheter laboratory are on schedule. The cardiac catheterization laboratory, which was temporarily taken out of operation on June 10, is expected to be operational again by the end of July. Wozniak also strategizes medical technology purchases and structural improvements, especially for stroke and palliative patients.

The shortage of skilled workers remains a central issue in the German healthcare system. PWC shows that an appropriate salary is the most important incentive for recruitment into nursing. The Helios Clinic in Cuxhaven is therefore planning to intensify its recruitment efforts in order to attract both young talent and experienced staff. An additional training course at the Helios Education Center from April will help double nursing training, which has already resulted in 20 registrations.

At a time when hospitals like the Munich Clinic are thinking about new management and strategies to overcome the challenges of the healthcare system, the Helios Clinic in Cuxhaven is being proactive. The emphasis is not only on excellent medical services, but also on the well-being of the employees. After all, a well-functioning team is the best basis for excellent patient care.
