Christmas market in Jever: Wechselhütte brings a festive atmosphere!
The festive season is beginning and the anticipation for the Christmas markets is increasing - also in Jever. On November 24th, the Christmas market at the Alter Markt opens its doors and will feature a brand new attraction: the “Wechselhütte”. This will be a place in the tranquil city for local clubs and creative minds to present their works. Despite unpleasant weather forecasts, the construction of the stands has already begun and those involved are optimistic that it will be a great event.
From the first days, the “Wechselhütte” is filled with life. From November 24th to 27th, “Deichkidz” by Silke Beetz will show colorful children’s clothing and women’s accessories. The student companies from the Friedrich-Schlosser School and the Mariengymnasium as well as the B-youth from FSV Jever are also taking part. On December 6th and 7th, visitors can look forward to special fantasy shoots with photographer Nicole Bethkenhagen. But that's not all: handicrafts, baked goods and lots of information are offered from various local associations. A colorful program and magical moments
A cheerful highlight will be the presence of costumed Christmas angels who will distribute sweet treats from 5:30 p.m. on November 24th and also on Advent Sundays from 3 p.m. Santa Claus will come on December 6th at 4:30 p.m. and will bring mare boys with him for the little market visitors, while Santa Claus will be at the market on several days. The festive lighting will also contribute to the Christmas atmosphere. Three central points in Jever shine in new splendor and Christmas trees are decorated with self-made decorations by kindergarten children.
In addition, a “Christmas Jumper Thursday” will be introduced, where visitors who show up in their best Christmas jumpers can benefit from discounts. To make planning easier, there is a comprehensive program with over 160 events, which is available in the form of a flyer at the tourist information office, in the town hall and online.
Christmas market in Munich: A comparison
The variety of Munich's Christmas markets is impressive and includes, among other things, the Viktualienmarkt with its festively illuminated stalls, where you can linger over mulled wine and fragrant delicacies. For skating fans there is the Eiszauber Arena at Karlsplatz-Stachus, while the Christmas Village in the Residenzschloss offers creative workshops and puppet theater for the whole family. Whether in the blooming Blutenburg Castle or at Sendlinger Tor, the selection is so decided that Christmas lovers will get their money's worth here.
So the Christmas anticipation is in full swing, both in Jever and Munich, and it remains to be seen where the best memories will be created. Whether it's a small, cozy market or a big, colorful hustle and bustle: the festive season has something to offer for everyone!
