In the basement duel of the district league, SV Rotenberg celebrated an important victory against SG Lenglern on October 6, 2025. The team prevailed 4-2 and thus gained valuable points in the relegation battle. The game started with a high tempo and intense duels in which both teams gave their all.
In the 12th minute, Mattis Mühlhaus gave Rotenberg an early lead (1-0). But just a few minutes later, in the 20th minute, Daniel Chales-De-Beaulieu equalized for the hosts (1-1). Shortly afterwards, Luca Schulze restored the old distance for Rotenberg, and in the 26th minute it was 2-1. But SG Lenglern did not allow themselves to be discouraged and equalized to 2-2 with another goal from Chales-De-Beaulieu in the 36th minute. With this tie we went into the half-time break.
The second half
After the break, SV Rotenberg took more and more control of the game. In the 52nd minute it was Andre Diederich who broke the spell and made it 3-2. This lead gave Rotenberg the necessary security, while SG Lenglern remained harmless in the final third. In the 82nd minute, Diederich crowned his performance with another goal, which made the final score 4-2. Referee Fabian Jung blew the whistle after 96 minutes and Rotenberg celebrated his third win of the season.
With this success, Rotenberg jumped to eleventh place in the table and now has every chance of staying in the league again. Conversely, SG Lenglern has to fight to stay connected and fell back to 13th place.

Next week SG Lenglern will play against SSV Nörten-Hardenberg, while SV Rotenberg will host SG Niedernjesa at the same time. Both teams know that every point can be decisive in the fight to stay in the league.
