The last Sunday in August will be something very special in Langelsheim and the surrounding area. The 27th AOK Bicycle Experience Day will take place there on August 31, 2025, under the motto “Car-free Innerstetal”. The event is hosted by Dr. Alexander Saipa, the district administrator of the Goslar district, is accompanying the event as patron and promises an eventful spectacle for families and sports enthusiasts.
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., highway 515 from Langelsheim to Wildemann will be closed to motorized traffic. The approximately 20 kilometer long route invites you to explore the beautiful nature of the Innerstetal on two wheels or on foot. In addition to cycling, roller skis and inline skating are also permitted, so there is something for every taste.
A colorful program for young and old
In Lautenthal, participants can expect various offers that will put them in a good mood. From delicious food and refreshing drinks to a cake buffet, music and fun, there is something for all ages. The AOK giant slide ensures that the children also get their money's worth. There is also the AOK Rally, where participant tickets are available in Wildemann and at the dam wall at the information stand of the Wolfshagen Tourist Information Center in the Harz.
From 10 a.m. on the Schützenplatz in Wildemann, music creates the right atmosphere. If you need to cool down in between, you can look forward to a free visit to the outdoor pool in Langelsheim - this refreshing break is a great extra for all participants.
