PeterLicht invites you to Hanover: thoughts about everyday life and its absurdities

On November 6, 2025, literature and music lovers can look forward to a very special event: The ArtistPeter Lichtpresents his latest literary creation at a musical reading in Hanover. Under the title“We will all have to endure a lot.”, published on October 18, 2025, the author devotes himself to the unreasonable demands of everyday life and encourages us to examine the un-/okayness of the world. The title itself sounds promising and already gives a first impression of the topics that PeterLicht would like to discuss.

The reading will take place in the Pavillon Cultural Center, where the doors will open from 7 p.m. Things really get going from 8 p.m. – a perfect setting to immerse yourself in the artist’s world of thoughts. Hannover.de reports that PeterLicht not only presents his texts while reading, but also brings in musical elements that give his work a special touch.

An unconventional look at everyday life

In his new book, PeterLicht mixes profound reflections with a dash of humor. He invites readers to grapple with the mini-disasters and mega-details of everyday life. For example, what's the deal with the flashing toothbrush? These and many other questions are addressed and shed new light on the little curiosities of our everyday lives.

According to that Colosseum Berlin PeterLicht is considered Germany's longest-serving critic of capitalism. His work is not only a literary companion, but also a “world-explanation machine” that encourages a new look at reality and absurdity. The illustrations in the book were also written by him and give the whole thing a personal touch.

A look into the past

PeterLicht has had an impressive career: He started in 2001 with the underground summer hit“Song from the Sun Deck”and has since published numerous works. Including the books“We will win – book about the end of capitalism”from 2004, the acclaimed work“The story of my assessment at the beginning of the 3rd millennium”and most recently the novel“Yeah, okay, but.”from 2021. He was also a sought-after columnist for the Süddeutsche Zeitung.

Here it becomes clear once again that PeterLicht is not only active as an author, but also as a musician and cultural worker and always has a good knack for addressing relevant social issues.

Be there when PeterLicht takes the stage on November 6th and reports on the challenges of everyday life in his unique way. Tickets are available on the Pavillon Cultural Center website. This will be an evening not to be missed!
