SV Bavenstedt celebrates: 4-0 into the semi-finals of the Kehrwieder Cup!

A lively evening in Ochtersum: The KEHRWIEDER Cup opened on Monday at 6 p.m. and spectators lined up right from the start. Over 200 football fans were excited about the three exciting games on the first day of the preliminary round. Managing director Max Hase, sales manager Daniel Rothert and Rainer Fricke gave the official starting signal for the tournament. The atmosphere was great as the teams battled for a place in the semi-finals, and SV Bavenstedt's performance particularly stood out.

SV Bavenstedt showed an impressive performance in the preliminary round group Pülm. In the first game they defeated FC Concordia Hildesheim 4-0 and thus ensured clear conditions. The goals were scored by Luca Bartel, Marc Büsing, Timon Westdorf and Noah Sander. Bavenstedt also played in the second match against Hasede, which ended 0-0. Here a goal from Hasede was disallowed for offside, which certainly heated up tempers.

More insights from the first day

In another game, Concordia Hildesheim won against Hasede 3-1. It is noteworthy here that Hasede's goalkeeper Torben Radloff received a red card for an emergency brake ten minutes before the end, which complicated the situation for Hasede. Santino Yilmaz, Timugin Bozkurt and Mustafa Biso scored for Concordia, while Björn Karkoß scored the consolation goal for Hasede.

On Wednesday, the VfV 06 Hildesheim coaching team will take the opportunity to take a closer look at the performances in the friendly against SV Bavenstedt. There are still exciting games waiting for the fans, as the next preliminary group continues on Tuesday with VfR Ochtersum, SV Einum and VfL Borsum. Here too, a lively audience response is expected, as has often been the case in the past.

Bavenstedt in context

In recent years, SV Bavenstedt has earned great respect not only in this tournament, but in amateur football in general. A good comparison can be the 2nd KEHRWIEDER WINTER CUP 2016, where Bavenstedt also won the title. At that time they defeated MTV Almstedt 3-1 in the final. These successes show that the team is constantly looking for new challenges and also has a lot of talent and team spirit, which always impresses the spectators.

In the current season, amateur clubs have generally gained popularity again. A look at the number of spectators from last season shows that some clubs have already exceeded the 100 spectator mark. This includes clubs like Alemannia Aachen, which even recorded an average attendance of 18,407 in the Regionalliga West. Smaller clubs are also taking up this development and bringing a breath of fresh air to amateur football.

The further course of the KEHRWIEDER Cup is eagerly awaited, and the spectators can be prepared for a lot, because as is well known - things can quickly go haywire in football.
