75 years of football fever: Stadtoldendorf celebrates with games and festivals!
Last weekend, more precisely on August 9th and 10th, Stadtoldendorf experienced a very special festival. The local football club celebrated its 75th anniversary with a colorful program that not only attracted football fans, but also families and friends from the area. Visitors young and old could look forward to a variety of activities that offered something for every age group my-onlinezeitung.de reported.
The first day started with a ceremonial opening act, which was introduced by Mayor Helmut Affelt at 1 p.m. From 2 p.m. things really got down to business: As part of the big club day, exciting penalty shootout competitions and goal wall shooting took place, in which the best teams from the region competed against each other. A total of 12 teams, including the host FC Stadtoldendorf, MTSV Eschershausen and others, took part in the penalty shootout. Spread across two groups, the teams fought for a place in the knockout phase my-fankurve.de reported. In the end there were no losers as all participants received trophies for their efforts.
A celebration for the whole family
Sunday was no less exciting. In bright sunshine, the children had fun on various bouncy castles, while the junior teams fought diligently for trophies that were on display at the entrance to the sports field. The audience experienced special moments when MTV Bevern met JSG United, who were also allowed to compete with a second team against JSG Burgberg.
A real highlight of Sunday was the raffle, which not only thrilled the little guests. There were attractive prizes to be won such as the Samsung Galaxy A56, a Samsung Galaxy Tab and a Philips OLED television. The main prize went to a young footballer and other lucky winners from the audience.
Of course, culinary well-being was also provided. From hot nuggets to currywurst to sweet delicacies such as donuts and cakes, there was something for every palate.
A weekend full of sport and music
The festivities reached their musical climax at the after-show party on Saturday evening, which ensured a good atmosphere with live music and a DJ until late into the night. Not to forget the 80s party, which attracted numerous dance enthusiasts and was open free of charge to visitors aged 18 and over.
The event was supported by a strong commitment from local associations and companies. Among others, the fitness studio “balance”, the nutritional supplement provider “FitLine” and the Stadtoldendorf volunteer fire department presented their offerings. Günther S., an enthusiastic participant, said: “It was an all-round successful anniversary weekend that brought everyone together.”
Overall, it can be said that the 75th anniversary of FC Stadtoldendorf was not just a football festival, but a real community experience that brought the region closer together. It's clear: events like this lift the mood and bring a piece of home feeling back into people's hearts.
