Murderous darling Wichmann: New witnesses reveal shocking details!

Fascinating and frightening at the same time - the story of suspected serial killer Kurt-Werner Wichmann continues to attract the attention of many. On June 20, 2025 it will be “on the trail of murderers” again in Lüneburg. In the Knight Academy A series of events will take place that deals with the sinister crimes of Wichmann, who is described by investigators as a “murderous darling” and who is said to have fallen victim to almost 100 women in Germany.

Wichmann, who was born in Lüneburg on July 8, 1949, is considered one of the most notorious serial killers in German criminal history. He lived in a home on the outskirts of Lüneburg and grew up in difficult circumstances, often in homes and psychiatric institutions. He came into conflict with the law as a teenager, and his dark side became apparent in 1968 at the latest in the murder of Ilse Gerkens, in which he was later a suspect. The episodic led to a long list of other offenses that ran throughout his life.

Latest developments and witness reports

Recently, new witnesses have come forward who made courageous statements about Wichmann after a TV documentary. One of these women reported that she got into his car after visiting a disco in Cuxhaven. These clues could give the investigation a new boost as police are already investigating links to over 230 other crimes, including murder and rape. Experts assume that the actual number of his crimes far exceeds the known number.

The event on June 20th begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be led by two experts: Reinhard Chedor, the former head of the Hamburg State Criminal Police Office, and Dr. Tino Grosche, an expert in the field. They will not only talk about Wichmann and his crimes, but also about possible accomplices and the background to his crimes, which still raise many questions to this day. Tickets are already available for those interested - both at ticket offices and online at bluturen-event.de.

The eerie shadow of the past

Wichmann's crimes not only represent a dark historical period in German criminal history, but also generate a large media response today. His meteoric rise to becoming a “women’s favorite” and his subsequent descent as a serial killer prove how multi-layered and complex the psyche of criminals can be. Coming to terms with his crimes in public, through books, documentaries and events, shows the ongoing fascination with serial killers and the drama behind such crimes.

Like many other serial killers in Germany, Wichmann not only influenced people's hearts, but also their fates. The ongoing discussions about criminal law, psychology and prevention make it clear that society will have to live with the shadows of the past for a long time to come. The question remains: How many secrets does this man's life actually have in store?

The Wichmann case remains a thought-provoking topic that could potentially reveal new details as we are surrounded by the dark past and the scary stories in our society.
