New course program from KVHS Northeim: Discover 500 ways to learn!
Autumn is just around the corner and with it a multitude of new opportunities to learn and discover. The Northeim District Adult Education Center (KVHS) has put together an exciting autumn and winter program. With over 500 courses and a total of 10,000 teaching hours in eight different categories, the KVHS offers a wide range for those interested in all age groups. Categories include people and environment, education, digital, languages and health, to name just a few. The HNA emphasizes that the program is particularly versatile and tailored to current needs.
Particular attention is paid to the digital area, where courses such as Google search optimization and creating Reels are offered. If you want to get into the social media world, you will find numerous offers here, many of which are available as online modules. There are also new educational leave offers, including a compressed Italian course for beginners and a course for participants with previous knowledge. Language enthusiasts can choose between nine different languages, including Japanese and Hebrew. Demand is high and some courses are already very popular.
Diversity in training offerings
The KVHS's concern to promote diversity and community is not just a motto, but is also underpinned by concrete course offerings. According to the Alzey-Worms district, the KVHS courses are often a meeting point for different generations. A highlight of this season is a four-hour course on clown art with Roger Koch, which is sure to make you smile.
The KVHS Northeim also offers numerous cooking courses that deal with different nutritional styles. including cooking courses for oriental and African cuisine. In addition to the tried and tested offers such as yoga courses and walks with alpacas, those interested can also try out Vinyasa Flow Yoga - a practice that is intended to bring body and mind into harmony. Further additional offers include a program called “wissenlive”, where free online lectures from science and society are provided.
Current developments
The KVHS not only plans to constantly expand its own course offerings, but has also invested in the infrastructure. The building in Northeim is currently being renovated, including kitchens and toilets being renovated and the technology being modernized. The plan is to complete this work by the end of the summer holidays. In addition, an online information course for new lecturers will be offered on October 9th, as there is currently an urgent need for teachers for various languages, including Norwegian.
The offer is aimed not only at individuals, but also at parents and professionals. In this context, 270 courses are also offered in various regions such as Alzey-Worms, which focus on the topic of “Diversity of perspectives: learning from each other”. This wide range shows the importance that the KVHS easily places on lifelong learning and underlines its role as an important educational institution in the region.
