McDonald's in Wechloy: Major renovation for 1.5 million euros starts!

Something is happening in Oldenburg! The McDonald's branch in Wechloy is about to undergo a complete remodel. According to the NWZ Online The renovation will take place from November 10th to December 4th, with the branch remaining closed for a few weeks. But the “drive” lanes will remain in operation until November 17th, so quick food is still available for those in a hurry.

An impressive 1.5 million euros are being invested in the redesign, a sign that the fast food restaurant in Oldenburg will continue to be popular in the future. Not surprising, since the last major remodeling took place nine years ago and the branch opened 40 years ago. In the new interior design, the number of ordering kiosks will be increased from six to eight to make the ordering process even more efficient.

The innovations at a glance

A highlight of the renovation work is the outdoor area, which will be equipped with two drive lanes. These lanes lead to two order points, which are brought together again in front of the counter so that customers can be served even more quickly. The number of serving counters will also be increased from two to three, further improving service.

A notable change is also taking place in the kitchen: the kitchen opening will be largely closed, meaning that orders will be brought fresh to the tables. So if you want to dine at Wechloyer McDonald's in the future, you can look forward to a new experience.

New plans and more business

There is also news from Oldenburg: Radhe Mandal is opening his second “Super Kumpir” in the Degodehaus. The historic building, built in 1502 and renovated in 1888, now becomes the venue for delicious potato dishes with various toppings and sauces. Mandal, who lives in Oldenburg himself and met his fiancée at the university, brings a breath of fresh air to the catering industry. The investor Katharina Degode supports him in turning the listed house into a place of enjoyment.

For all fast food lovers, the popular McDonald’s chain and “Super Kumpir” are just two of the many offerings that Oldenburg has to offer. McDonald's, founded in 1940 by brothers Richard and Maurice McDonald, is now the largest fast food chain in the world. With over 40,000 stores in more than 100 countries, the brand serves over 69 million customers every day - a market power that has its origins in California. Wikipedia reports that McDonald's has also been expanded internationally since 1955 by businessman Ray Kroc.
