Drama on the pitch: TuS Jahn Lindhorst without a point after 1:3 against Arnum!

A lot happened in the Cologne football scene at the weekend at the district league game between SV Arnum and TuS Jahn Lindhorst. The game, which took place on August 18, 2025, ended with a 3-1 win for Arnum and leaves the Lindhorst players still waiting for their first point of the season. After two matchdays they are still without a score.

After the game, coach Daniel Burk was critical of his team's performance in the first half. “We weren’t up to speed,” said Burk, emphasizing that the second half showed a clear improvement in performance. He stated that a draw would have been fairer because the Lindhorst team appeared more courageous in the second half.

Game progression and key moments

SV Arnum took the initiative right at the start of the game and showed more possession of the ball. A header from Lars Littelmann hit the crossbar in the 12th minute and caused the first upset. The first goal for Arnum came in the 20th minute when Martin Pietrucha scored from a corner. Lindhorst was unable to do much in the first half; Miles Sydow had the only significant chance, but he was denied by the opposing goalkeeper.

At halftime it was already 2-0 for Arnum after Nico Schneider scored after a counterattack in the 41st minute. Burk reacted and converted after the break, which led to an appealing performance from his team. Miles Sydow scored the next goal in the 55th minute. But they couldn't find their way back into the game, even if Arnum was no longer able to build up the pressure from the first half.

A bitter ending

The Lindhorst team could perhaps have come again, but thanks to dangerous individual actions it was left to the Arnum team to score their goals until the end. Shortly before the final whistle, Jivan Hajo made the final score 3-1 with a nice long-range shot, thus sealing the defeat for TuS Jahn Lindhorst.

Lindhorst's list: Krause, Möller, L. Unruh, Pittelkow, J. Sydow, M. Sydow, Wloch, Serinek, Stahlhut, Maier, Holz. On the bench: Lanz, Gornig, V. Unruh, Steigmann, Gutzeit, Schütte.

Despite the defeat, the second half was a bright spot for the Lindhorst team, who now have to concentrate on the coming games in order to finally get their first points of the season. It remains to be seen whether they can bring the necessary luck and skill onto the pitch to achieve something worthwhile in the next games.

So for Cologne football fans, it’s time to keep your fingers crossed!
