David Schumacher made a romantic marriage proposal to his girlfriend Vivien Keszthelyi today, November 7, 2025. The proposal took place on a beach in the Maldives, surrounded by rose petals and an ornate "Marry Me" message. 24-year-old Vivien, a Hungarian native, of course said yes and the couple can now look forward to a future together.

The engagement was celebrated by David Schumacher on Instagram, where he described the special moment as surrounded by love and a breathtaking sunset. 50-year-old Ralf Schumacher, David's father, also commented on the good news on social media, writing: "About time," suggesting that he has been waiting for this decision and is happy about his son's happiness.

A life for motorsport

David and Vivien, who currently live in Salzburg, share a great passion for motorsport. In an interview in 2024, they had already spoken about their future plans and emphasized that they did not want to stress themselves, which would benefit the respective development of their relationship. Vivien moved from Budapest to Austria to be with David, which also shows their deep connection.

Ralf Schumacher is not only proud of his son's engagement, but also recently commented on his turbulent private life in a different context.
