This festive event takes place onJanuary 24, 2026from9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.mtook place in the Volksbank branch in Twistringen. The satchel party not only offers an excellent information platform about starting school, but also numerous activities that will delight the children.

Amid school bags and anticipation of the first day of school, the program is varied for the whole family. Special guests are Jacqueline Brackmann, educator, and Petra Zurhake, learning therapist and primary school teacher, who give valuable tips for the transition from kindergarten to school. A highlight will be the eye test for children, which is offered by “With Glasses 31”. The Dauelsberg school bag collection will also be presented.

A variety of activities for the little ones

In addition to the informative stands, there is also an exciting supporting program, including a stamp rally with great prizes. The balloon artist and face painting will make faces smile, while the Brennwerk and Kurt clubs will provide crafts for creative minds. Sports fans can look forward to a football mini-golf stand and demonstrations by the Hoya traffic police.

Another highlight of the event are the demonstrations of various dance groups and sports. At 10:00 a.m. SV Mörsen-Scharrendorf will show its dancing skills, followed by impressive presentations from the Budo Shin Dojo in SC Twistringen at 11:00 a.m. The crowning finale will be the singing of the class choir of the Am Markt primary school at 12:30 p.m. The official opening will take place at 9:30 a.m. by branch manager André Meyer.

Valuable tips for pocket money

While the children look forward to the activities, parents also have the opportunity to take home important information about pocket money and starting school. A very good approach to learning how to handle money is the PRIMAX account from Volksbank Vechta, which is specifically intended for children aged 6 and over. It enables little ones to manage their pocket money independently and promotes a sense of responsibility and savings goals. Another plus point is the attractive interest of 0.25% per year, which is paid on up to 5,000 euros.

Not only the account itself, but also conversations about money help to raise children's awareness of financial issues. The right amount of pocket money can make a significant contribution to understanding the value of money. A weekly payment for younger children or monthly for older ones is recommended. In this way, parents can teach their children that it is important to save a little in order to fulfill their bigger dreams.

The next satchel party will be a nice event that will provide both kids and parents with valuable insights. From information about starting school to fun and games - there is something for everyone here. Mark that oneJanuary 24, 2026in your calendar! Visit the event and be inspired!
