Harbor festival in Wilhelmshaven: Everything about getting there and the best tips!

The 47th weekend at the Jade in Wilhelmshaven is just around the corner and promises an exciting program from July 3rd to 6th, 2025. Anyone who wants to experience this festive spectacle should plan early to avoid unpleasant surprises.

If you want to travel by car, be careful: Due to numerous road closures and limited parking options, this is not recommended. Instead, the organizers recommend switching to bicycles or public transport. Good news for everyone who doesn't have their own bike: Bicycle parking spaces are available in several places around the festival site. There is also a paid bicycle station on Ebertstrasse in the Nordseepassage parking garage, which is open around the clock.

Optimal arrival and shuttle services

A special highlight is the free Park & Ride Shuttle, which operates from the parking lot at the Sportforum on Friedenstrasse throughout the weekend. The Jade Pin, which is available for 5 euros at the Tourist Information Office or at the huts on the festival mile, grants access to this shuttle service. Visitors arriving from nearby can show the PIN on their shirt while leaving the stroller pass in their pocket. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes on Friday and every 15 minutes on Saturday and Sunday. Stops include the Ebertstrasse medical center and Rheinstrasse at the Kaiser Wilhelm Bridge.

The 24-hour/family ticket for 7.10 euros, which is valid for two adults and up to three children aged 6 to 14, is particularly worthwhile for families. Children up to 11 years old even ride the shuttle for free!

Special services for all visitors

The organizers have also thought about people with disabilities: reserved parking spaces are offered on Lahnstrasse/Kanalstrasse and on the south beach. In addition, severely disabled people with appropriate ID can be transported on the shuttle free of charge, including their accompanying persons and aids.

If you would like to take a look at the festival site, you have the opportunity to use several first aid stations, which are located at Bontekai, Jadeallee and Südstrand. The event traditionally ends with a spectacular fireworks display on Sunday, July 6th, from 11 p.m. A real celebration for the whole family!

For everyone who would like to immerse themselves in the spirit of the weekend, comprehensive information can be found on the official website. Clever planners will find all the options in the Stadtwerke's online timetable to take part in the event stress-free and enjoy the numerous attractions. The town twinning with other regions will be presented in a variety of ways again this year. NWZonline and Weekend at the Jade provide lots of useful tips and suggestions.
