What do we have planned for the weekend in the region? Lots and lots! On the second summer holiday weekend, from July 11th to 13th, 2025, there are some events on the program that are worth seeing. It starts on Friday with a colorful mix of cuisine, sport and music.
Gourmet lovers can get their money's worth, especially in the northwest, where the wine market in Braunschweig opens its doors from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. At the same time, the BRAWO Open tennis tournament will take place at the BTHC facility in Bürgerpark, which starts at 12 p.m. If you're looking for some action, you should visit the shooting and folk festival in Goslar, which starts at 2 p.m.
Highlights of the KP-ONE Festival
Another highlight is the KP-ONE Festival in Almker Totenweg, Neindorf, which also starts on Friday from 2 p.m. with a club night. Visitors can expect a significantly enlarged festival area that is five times larger than in previous years. With a new, larger stage and two VIP areas, Silver and Gold, there should be something for everyone. Campsites with showers and toilets are also offered, which significantly increases the comfort for guests.
On Saturday the atmosphere at the KP-ONE Festival will be mixed up with a Ballermann party, before the Kids Festival for the little guests takes place on Sunday. There is entertainment, live music and many attractions here. The location of the event in Neindorf also promises parking spaces for caravan fans, so everything has been thought of here too. Breakfast areas are also part of the offer - so you can start the party days strengthened, as KP-ONE.de tells us.
There are a variety of activities for families at the Pirate Children's Land on the Broitzem festival site from Friday to Sunday. And the music isn't neglected either: on Saturday evening, the No Angels will accompany the audience at the final of the BRAWO Open from 6 p.m.
Cultural aspects
If you prefer something a little quieter, you will find a nice offer at the KulturSommer on the square in front of the Lessing Theater. Yarima Blanco y Son Latino will perform here on Friday at 8 p.m. and Guacáyo on Saturday from 8 p.m. The summer cinema in the garden of the Braunschweig Art Association shows “The Truman Show” on Friday – an entertaining end to the day.
But the shooting and folk festivals in Goslar and Ringelheim are also a must and offer a unique atmosphere from 6:30 p.m. The singing at the “KaraOPER” sing-along concert on Saturday in the Audimax in Braunschweig, which starts at 7 p.m., is unmistakable.
Sunday has several cultural treats in store with the children's musical “The Miracle of Jericho” in the St. Nicolai Church in Gifhorn, before the finale of the weekend begins with Katie Melua's performance at the Autostadt Summer Festival from 8 p.m. Here everything is given once again - and best of all: there is something for every age group!
