A very special project that has been active in Lower Saxony since 2017 fulfills the heartfelt wishes of people at the end of their lives and ensures that the last days also offer the most beautiful memories. The wishing car of the Workers' Samaritan Association (ASB) is one such project that is run on a voluntary basis and is specifically designed to bring seriously ill people to the places they long for.
The concept is simple but effective: volunteers and medically trained helpers accompany the trips, which often lead to places such as the sea or to significant family members. One example is the patient Caro, who took a lovely trip to Greetsiel, an idyllic coastal town, with her husband Anton.
