On Sunday, September 21, 2025, things will be exciting for the DSC Arminia Bielefeld youth teams. The U21 meets the Schermbeck sports club in the Oberliga Westfalen. Kick-off is at 3 p.m. in the Rußheide stadium. Fans can look forward to a thrilling game; tickets are available both at the box office and in the online fan shop. The fans are really looking forward to it, after all the U21s are fighting for important points in this highly competitive league. At the same time, the U19s will meet SC Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in the Böllhoff Stadium on the same day at 1:30 p.m. The Oberhausen team have so far fought their way to fourth place in the table with ten points – level on points with SV Meppen. Bielefeld, on the other hand, have only collected five points and have to do everything they can to keep up with the top places. It will be exciting to see whether Arminia's U19s can hold their own against the strong Oberhausen team.
U17 away appearance in Bremen
One day earlier, on Saturday, September 20th, the U17s of DSC Arminia Bielefeld will play against SV Werder Bremen. Kick-off is at 1 p.m. at the stadium site on Franz-Böhmert-Straße in Bremen. After a motivating 3-2 home win against Hannover 96, the U17s want to improve in Bremen and collect more points in order to establish themselves at the top of the table.
News about the U23 team
In addition to the youth team games, the U23 team from DSC Arminia Bielefeld will also return to the Oberliga Westfalen. FuPa.net reports that the U23 will take part in the game again after a seven-year break. This decision was made in a video conference between the Westphalia Football and Athletics Association (FLVW) and the upper league teams.
An important detail: The U23s start without promotion rights for two years, which represents a concession for the upper league teams in order not to unnecessarily intensify the promotion battle. The focus is clearly on promoting young talent in a sporty way. The U23 was last able to be active in the top league in the 2017/18 season, but was then dissolved for cost reasons.
