In the tranquil town of Anröchte in North Rhine-Westphalia, the sanctuary “Taca’s Seelenhof” is facing its biggest challenge. Caroline Winkler, who has managed the farm since 2015, is fighting for survival because high costs and natural disasters are taking a toll on the project. Around 80 animals, including horses, goats and dogs, who are often sick or old, urgently need support. The WAZ reports that the farm has fallen into serious financial difficulties due to vandalism and high expenses for vets, farriers and feed.
The situation has worsened due to severe storms in recent days. A friend of Caroline's is open GoFundMe launched a call for donations after the farm suffered severe damage from flooding. Many animals were rescued, but some are missing because fences and stables were swept away by the floodwaters. The aim of this campaign is to collect 2,400 euros to repair the financial damage and secure the fencing for the animals.
The critical situation of the sanctuary
“Taca’s Soul Court” is no ordinary place. Unwanted animals are often taken in here and are supposed to spend the rest of their lives in safety. Please don’t stop recording!
