France Festival 2025: Celebrate, taste and be amazed in Düsseldorf!
The France Festival, known as La Grande Fête Française, will delight in Düsseldorf from July 4th to 6th, 2025. This colorful event attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the Rhine metropolis every year and offers a variety of cultural offerings and French delicacies. The festivities will take place both in the old town and on the banks of the Rhine and promise to once again be a highlight in the city's event calendar. The event not only attracts food lovers and those interested in culture, but also vintage car fans. As part of the festival, the “Tour de Düsseldorf” takes place, a rally with around 130 vintage cars that starts on July 5th and 6th, 2025 from Burgplatz. This rally, which is now known as the largest gathering of French classic cars in Germany, has been held since 2001 and attracts numerous well-maintained models from Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Austria every year.
But what exactly can visitors expect? On Friday, July 4th, the town hall courtyard will open its doors from 5 p.m. Lancelot will take the stage at 6:30 p.m., followed by Marie-Flore at 8:30 p.m. The festival starts on Saturday at 1 p.m., with performances by Noémi Schröder and Soline. The crowning conclusion is Maxence at 8:30 p.m. Exciting performances are also planned for Sunday.
Classic car rally and music
The classic car rally itself will be a real treat for car lovers. Vehicles that are 1985 or older take part, with models such as the Citroen B11 Traction and DS Hoch being particularly popular. In recent years, around 150 vehicles have taken part in the rally, which covers a distance of around 120 kilometers. Spectators can admire the historic models along the route, making the event a popular destination for the whole family.
The entrance fee for the town hall courtyard is 10 euros on Friday, 10 euros on Saturday and 8 euros on Sunday. In return, guests can look forward to a rich stage program that provides plenty of variety with breakdance workshops and shows as well as boules competitions. The opportunity to purchase original French goods and delicacies rounds off the experience, so there is sure to be something for everyone.
