Café Amann opens: A new highlight in the Old Cloth Factory!

Margret Neugebauer recently opened her Café Amann in the Old Cloth Factory in Euskirchen. Although this premiere took place rather quietly and secretly, the café has already become known in the area, especially among residents and employees of the old cloth factory. The name “Café Amann” has a personal touch because it comes from a relative of Neugebauer’s husband. The 57-year-old from Euskirchen wanted to get used to it and try it out first - as a lone fighter, this is an important prerequisite for her in order to design her offers effectively.

The café's menu includes delicious sandwiches, omelettes, quiche and home-baked cakes. To do this, guests have to be prepared for a special selection, as rolls are not offered; Neugebauer bakes the bread himself. The ambience of the café is a successful mix of industrial style with modern and antique furniture, on the walls of which historical photos bring the history of the place to life. Neugebauer received support from Stanke Interiordesign with the interior design.

A new workplace in the heart of the cloth factory

With the opening of the café, a new workspace was also presented in the Old Cloth Factory. This modern office landscape is equipped with the latest technology, including a large television for presentations and extensive WiFi. The workspace should also be bookable from November 1, 2025, which will further increase the attractiveness of the location. The Café Amann plays an important role as a culinary catering point for the employees of the new workspace and ensures the physical well-being of the guests.

Another exciting aspect is that the trend reversal in coffee culture is not stopping in Euskirchen. According to an article by Forbes, the role of coffeehouses is becoming increasingly diverse - moving away from quick coffee consumption to places that invite you to work, relax and socialize. The desire for such multi-purpose spaces is growing, especially in Europe and the USA, where many cafés are now being transformed into co-working spaces.

The new opportunities that have emerged in which gastronomy and the workplace are combined are proving to be promising for the future. By taking the step to open Café Amann, Neugebauer has certainly shown a good hand in meeting the needs of modern coffee culture. Whether the concept works in the long term will become apparent in the coming months. Because one thing is certain: the change towards attractive and functional spaces will also become even more important in Euskirchen.
