Ballermann party in Oberhausen: 35,000 fans celebrate in midsummer!
On Saturday there was a huge spectacle in Oberhausen: The “Inselfieber” event transformed the outdoor area of the Rudolf Weber Arena near the Rhine-Herne Canal into a real festival for Ballermann fans. Around 35,000 visitors, including many from Cologne and the surrounding area, were carried away by the summer temperatures of over 30 degrees and enjoyed more than ten hours of pure party atmosphere.
The stage was occupied by some of the most famous artists in the party scene. Among the stars appearing were Mickie Krause with his hit “A Week Awake”, Mia Julia with “The Train Has No Brake” and Lorenz Büffel, who performed “Johnny Däpp”. Together with Isi Glück, Julian Sommer and Marc Eggers, they presented a program that captivated the partygoers. The whole thing was moderated by the popular singer Frenzy, who led through the many performances and carried the audience away with her energetic style.
Health problems and paramedics on duty
As with any large event, the topic of health could not be missed. Despite the provision of free water, some participants suffered from heat and copious consumption of alcohol and sangria. Paramedics were on constant duty to assist the people celebrating and to ensure that everyone got through the night safely.
But the parties are not only in full swing in Oberhausen. In Mallorca, too, the police are introducing new regulations to get party tourism under control. At Playa de Palma in El Arenal, sections of the beach were recently cordoned off with tape and metal grilles. These measures will apply throughout June and allow access to be controlled between 9:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. The aim is to ensure both the safety of guests and respect for local residents.
Measures against vandalism and noise pollution
The Llucmajor police are taking these measures in response to past incidents in which large groups of revelers committed vandalism and caused unrest. Carrying glasses and playing music on the beach are now prohibited in order to prevent drinking and the problems associated with it. The motto of the regulations is to bring tourism into harmony with the lives of the locals.
The combination of an exuberant party atmosphere in Oberhausen and the strict controls in Mallorca reflects the diversity of party tourism and shows that there is both a great need to party and the need to maintain order. Whether at home or abroad, celebrating is just part of it, as long as it stays within limits.
