An attack on three young people on the night of November 1, 2025 caused a stir in Ratingen. The incidents occurred around 1:25 a.m. on Kaiserswerther Straße when the young people, aged 16 and 17, were on their way to a fast food restaurant. Suddenly they were attacked by two other teenagers.

The attackers, a 16-year-old German and a 17-year-old Moroccan, used gravel and pepper spray. This brutal approach resulted in three teenagers being slightly injured. While two of them received outpatient treatment on site, the third decided to go home on his own. Local compass reported that the stone throwing also caused minor property damage: three window panes of the fast food restaurant were damaged.

Police intervene

The situation didn't go unnoticed for long. Witnesses on site immediately called the police, who reacted quickly and began an investigation. The suspects were identified quickly and were taken to the police station in Ratingen. There they were processed for identification and then handed over to their legal guardians. The police report that because of dangerous bodily harm and property damage A case was initiated against the two suspects.
