During the subsequent search, it turned out that he not only used a fake driver's license, but also had other fake ID cards. He now threatens a procedure for driving without a license, forgery of documents and the use of incorrect official ID cards. The police ensured the fake documents to take further legal steps.

But not only this case brought the officials out of the concept. A 32-year-old e-scooter driver was also checked and was another evil: he was on the move without insurance coverage and there were clear indications of the influence of drugs that were confirmed by a pre-test. A blood sample was taken - he too will have to expect criminal proceedings. In addition, a 52-year-old driver of a dangerous goods transport from Rheine was held responsible for insufficient load securing and an expired TÜV badge. He was temporarily prohibited from continuing, and a fine of 800 euros was also imposed against the transport company.

But what is done in other regions to counter the drug problem in road traffic? In the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg, checks with a focus on alcohol and drug abuse also took place on June 20. During these controls, three road users were found under drug influence. Here, too, the path inevitably led to blood sampling because the effect of drugs is often underestimated, as the police emphasized - after taking, vehicle management is not possible for several days. Likewise, a driver was caught with a fake Polish driver's license and is now also in the crosshair of the investigators.

Overall, this day shows how important such controls are to increase safety in road traffic. The Minden police also announced that they will increasingly carry out traffic controls in the future to ensure that all road users are responsible and securely on the move.
