50 years of Rheinland Klinikum: Health hero in Neuss celebrates anniversary!

A very special anniversary is coming up in Neuss: The Rheinland Klinikum is celebrating its 50th anniversary in the Rhine district of Neuss. This significant event is not only a reason to celebrate, but also to recognize the outstanding achievements and development of the healthcare provider in the region. Since 1975, the clinic has stood for comprehensive health care in every phase of life.

In the heart of the Rhine district of Neuss is the Lukas Hospital, which, with over 100 years of history, is the largest location of the Rheinland Klinikum. It is known for its extensive medical services and enjoys the trust of the people in Neuss and the surrounding area. Over 2,000 births every year show how important the only children's and maternity hospital in the district is. The Lukas Hospital also operates the largest central emergency room in the district, which is recognized nationally. Particularly noteworthy are the cardiology departments, where the house specializes in interventional cardiology and a special atrial fibrillation center, as well as the tumor center and the facilities for accident and hand surgery, which function as a certified trauma center. The Endocrine Surgery Clinic, which primarily performs thyroid operations, also attracts patients from throughout the region.

Restructuring and modernization

The Elisabeth Hospital in Grevenbroich, which focuses on internal medicine and geriatrics, is currently being restructured. This goes hand in hand with a comprehensive structural renovation and the modernization of two stations, which is being funded by North Rhine-Westphalia with over 6 million euros. A geriatric center with around 100 inpatient beds and 30 beds for acute internal medicine patients will be set up in Grevenbroich. These investments show how important geriatric care is for the region.

The Rheinland Klinikum Dormagen has also been established since it was founded in 1980 and offers expanded emergency care, including a helipad. The largest department in the house is the clinic for orthopedics and trauma surgery, which is known as a certified endoprosthetics center and spine center. In cardiology, the focus is on interventional coronary diagnostics and coronary therapy, and offerings in vascular surgery and pain medicine have also been added.

A wide range of healthcare services

Finally, the Rheinland Klinikum also covers specialized areas in the Rheintor Klinik in Neuss. In addition to orthopedics, this specialist clinic also offers neurosurgery and oral, maxillofacial and facial surgery. The medical care centers (MVZ) in Neuss, Dormagen and Hürth round off the range of services, including radiation therapy, pathology as well as ENT, surgery and gynecology.
