A dramatic persecution drama took place today in the region around Bad Honnef. Three occupants of a fleeing car were arrested by police after a chase that spanned several highways and through the Bonn city area. However, the driver responded with a risky escape that lasted almost 45 minutes and ultimately ended with him leaving the road into a Christmas tree plantation in Bad Honnef-Aegidienberg. Up to 20 patrol cars and a police helicopter were used in the high-speed pursuit, with one patrol car being damaged.
