New coach Gregor Paluch brings a breath of fresh air to SV Hilbeck!

Gregor Paluch was welcomed as SV Hilbeck's new head coach, a decision that came directly after Daniel Rohde's resignation. Just three days after his resignation, Paluch was introduced to the team, and expectations are high: SV Hilbeck is not only a promoted district league player, but also a club with a lot of potential, and Paluch has the necessary qualifications as a former player and successful coach in the district. He is supported by his former assistant coach Andreas Driesner and the playing assistant coach Jonas Michler.

Paluch was previously responsible for the A-Juniors of SVW Soest and managed to lead them to the Westfalenliga. The first conversation with the sports management of SV Hilbeck lasted over three hours and opened up the possibilities for future collaboration. What is interesting is that Paluch had actually planned to take a break, but the interest in him led to several inquiries.

An office full of challenges

As coach of SV Hilbeck, Paluch wants to work on existing structures without throwing everything overboard. The goal for the current season is to stabilize after a mixed start to the season. Paluch is looking forward to working with players like Felix Kaiser and Mohamed Ghouili, who he already knows. The first game under his leadership will be an exciting derby against RW Westönnen, which the fans are waiting impatiently for.

But there is news not only on the pitch. SV Hilbeck has been very dynamic in recent years. The number of members has increased from 298 to 346, which means significant growth in the children and youth sector. Last year, 91 new members were gained specifically in this area. The tennis department has also expanded with the newly created U15 girls team. There were also changes in the board at the most recent annual general meeting: Bernhard Bruland did not stand for re-election after 18 years as second chairman; his successor is Markus Dollenkamp.

Social engagement and events

SV Hilbeck has not only developed further in sport, but also in terms of its social commitment. Segments such as “Sport for the Soul” and the planned blood donation campaign in collaboration with the German Red Cross show that the club also assumes social responsibility. With a look at the upcoming events, such as the inclusion tournament in the Willi Hafer Stadium and the Hilbeck Christmas market, the club would like to remain active for the community.

Of course, the connection between sport and social responsibility is not new. There are around 85,900 sports clubs in Germany, with North Rhine-Westphalia accounting for over 20 percent of them. The vast majority of the German population shows a keen interest in sport and is a member of a club - over 36 percent of men and more than 23 percent of women are active. This underlines the relevance and potential of clubs like SV Hilbeck, both in sport and in social life.

With the new coach and the expanded board, SV Hilbeck shows that they are ready to take on the challenges of modern times. The ambitions for the future are clear: stable league promotion and the promotion of young talent, while at the same time wanting to further strengthen the sense of community in the club.
