On November 9th, 2025, the city of Ochtrup announced smooth bulky waste collection from November 24th to 28th after problems in June.

In tranquil Ochtrup, where citizens are known to value a clean neighborhood, the second bulky waste collection service is just around the corner. From November 24th to 28th, households can hand in their old furniture and other bulky waste. After the difficulties and delays with the first collection in June, which were caused by an incorrectly estimated amount of waste, the city and the Stenau waste disposal company promise that things will go smoothly this time. A press conference last week highlighted the preparations and those responsible are optimistic.
What exactly can Ochtrupers expect during this period? The experience gained from the first collection led to the organization being optimized. But the focus is not only on collection times, the amount of waste is now also better estimated in order to avoid bottlenecks and inconveniences. This provides relief for the residents – a smooth removal would be a benefit for everyone involved.
Additional services for bulky waste disposal
Regular collection of bulky waste items remains free of charge. But for those who are in a particular hurry or have special requests, Augustin Disposal Friesland GmbH & Co. KG offers three additional services for a fee. Interested parties can choose between express collection, desired delivery date and a dismantling or pre-collection service:
- Express-Abfuhr: Abholung am nächsten Werktag, sofern die Anmeldung und Bezahlung bis 12:00 Uhr am Werktag erfolgen. Kosten: 238,00 € inkl. 19 % MwSt.
- Wunschtermin-Abfuhr: Abholung innerhalb von 4 bis 10 Werktagen nach der Anmeldung oder an einem Wunschtermin. Kosten: 119,00 € inkl. 19 % MwSt.
- Demontage/Vorholservice: Zerlegung von Möbeln sowie Transport von Sperrgut, zum Preis von 178,50 € pro Stunde inkl. 19 % MwSt.
These services can be booked both online and by telephone. A combination of services is possible, although additional days must be allowed for planning. This is particularly useful for those who want to dispose of larger pieces of furniture.
With these new measures and the additional offers, Ochtrup is setting an example for citizen-oriented and environmentally conscious waste disposal.
