There is currently a trace of unrest around Dülken, as crime is sounding the alarm in the region. On July 6th there was a break-in at a single-family home on Breyeller Street. Between 12:10 a.m. and 8:15 a.m., unknown persons ransacked various rooms in the property, although the police have not yet been able to confirm whether anything was stolen. But that's not all: On Monday, July 5th, there were two more break-ins in Dülken. Between 4 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., unknown people entered another single-family home on Röhlenend Street through the back door, where they ransacked the living quarters. Here too, it is still unclear whether and what was stolen. Another break-in occurred between 6 p.m. and 6:52 p.m. on Boisheimer Strasse. Here the perpetrators managed to break open the entrance door and steal cash. In these cases too, the criminal police are continuing to investigate intensively, and citizens are once again asked for information on the same telephone number: 02162/377-0, according to information from wz.de.
Burglary statistics give food for thought
The clearance rate for residential burglaries was 14.9% in 2023, which is not very encouraging compared to the overall rate of all crimes of 58.4%. It remains to be hoped that this worrying trend can be stopped through education and further measures.
