Oktoberfest Schiefbahn starts: tickets available now!

On September 20, 2025 it will be “O’zapft is!” at the Oktoberfest of the St. Sebastianus Brotherhood in Schiefbahn. Advance ticket sales began on July 1, 2025, and the first tickets for the popular event are in high demand. Brochures and posters all over town are already making you want Bavarian delicacies and a good atmosphere. LokalKlick reports that the band “die Albfetza” will once again provide the musical background, which caused a sensation last year.

The event schedule has been revised: From 4 p.m., guests can enjoy a slightly different atmosphere at the tent. Future visitors can look forward to a concert by the music corps '78 BSW Krefeld before the tent really comes to life. A new VIP area, which offers exclusive service with catering and faster access on an elevated gallery, provides additional comfort.

Celebration and competition

In addition to the music, some popular competitions should not be missed. Visitors can show off their skills in the traditional nailing competition, and a “selfie wall” can be used to take souvenir photos. Funnily enough, a selfie from a visitor from Neuss recently caused a stir because her parents thought she had made it to Munich quickly. Extra tip reported that the shooting hall of the St. Sebastianus Fraternity on Bolzplatzweg, which is opened in the event of bad weather, offers enough space for everyone. The parking options are also spacious.

The “Albfetza” have not only made a name for themselves in Schiefbahn, but also perform in numerous European cities. They presented themselves in collaboration with greats such as DJ Ötzi and the Schürzenjäger, which further increased their status in the entertainment business. These successes were also recognized by Brother Master Michael Klein, who focuses on constantly improving the event and the offering.

Bavarian traditions

But what would an Oktoberfest be without the traditions that have grown over the years? Originally started as an equestrian event, Oktoberfest has developed over the years into one of the most famous festivals in the world. Planet Wissen reports that the first official tapping of the barrel took place in 1950, and today it is hard to imagine that in the festival's 200-year history there have been more than 20 cancellations due to wars or epidemics - most recently in 2020 and 2021 due to the corona pandemic. Now it's time to continue the tradition and create new memories.

If you want to have a lot of fun, you should hurry up with a ticket! The normal entry price is currently 18 euros, but from August 1st the prices will rise to 20 euros. If you want to secure a place in the VIP area, you have to budget 139 euros for the ticket. Until the end of July the price here is still 139 euros. Tickets are available online www.sebastianus.de/oktoberfest or available in the Foto Naus shop.
