On October 28, 2023, the 7th Scary Forest Night of the Sand Witches will be celebrated in the picturesque Weisenheim am Sand. At the festival site in Ludwigshain, which is located at the end of the Riedweg, entry is granted from 3:00 p.m. and the gruesome activities start at 4:00 p.m. The weather forecast called for rain, but the anticipation of the gloomy night remains unbroken. Numerous ghosts, big and small, have already announced their arrival to immerse themselves in the mysterious world of witches.
The event promises a colorful range of spooky and fantastic attractions. Visitors can look forward to the enchanting dance arrangement by the children's witches, followed by exciting magic and sorcery by the well-known Palatinate magician. The spectacle is also complemented by knightly sword fights by the show fighting group LO KEY. A special button-making stand is available for the youngest guests, where they can get creative with the witches.
Creepy adventures and culinary delights
A highlight of the night is the night hike, which will send participants on an exciting adventure through the forest in the dark. On the scary course, live scarers await the brave, while the magical fire show by “Fire Devil Peter” will conjure up impressive light effects in the night. There is clearly a lot to discover here – the horror is guaranteed!
Physical well-being is also taken care of: Anja's witch's cauldron from Großniedesheim provides the hungry ghosts with tasty food, while witch-strong drinks are available to quench their thirst. A solid reason to look not only for scary experiences, but also for a hearty snack.

The entry prices for this gruesome fun are more than fair: children aged 3 and over pay 4 euros, while adults contribute 6 euros for this unforgettable event.
