Worms cleans up: almost 10 tons of garbage collected for a good cause!

In Worms the motto over the last few months has been: “Stop the rubbish!” As part of the “Let’s Clean Up Europe 2025” campaign, over 1,400 committed citizens collected almost 10,000 kilograms of waste from January to March. The participants, organized in 52 groups, were well equipped with pink garbage bags, gloves and grippers so that every move was perfect. Loud Antenna KH ebwo AöR donated one euro for every kilo of waste collected, resulting in a total of 9,922 euros.

The official donation handover took place on July 9, 2025 in the presence of Mayor Stephanie Lohr and board members of the ebwo AöR, Hans Gugumus and Andreas Oberhaus. Commitment is required

The result of this collection campaign shows that environmental protection and neighborhood activities are an important concern for many citizens. More and more people are getting involved in their communities for clean cities and a sustainable environment. The next plans have already been made: The “Rhine Clean-Up” will take place on the banks of the Rhine in Worms on September 13, 2025. This is once again about clearing the banks of rubbish and pointing out the importance of careful waste disposal in everyday life. When handing over the donations, Mayor Lohr emphasized the importance of the commitment of all volunteers: “Together we can keep Worms clean!”
