The most beautiful playground in the Donnersberg district is being sought in Börrstadt. RHEINPFALZ has organized an exciting competition in which more than 1,100 readers have already taken part. The playground in Börrstadt is currently leading the vote, closely followed by Morschheim and Weitersweiler, who are currently securing second and third places. If you still want to take part, you have until Monday at 12 p.m. to choose your favorite. You can support your favorite either by checking the box or by sending an email reddonn@rheinpfalz.de to take part in this exciting competition. But it's not just the playgrounds in the Donnersberg district that are in the spotlight. In the first quarter of the year it was the turn of the district's athletes. In January 2025, the athletes' advisory board evaluated the suggestions from the "Rheinpfalz" editorial team, and there are now five candidates in each of three categories who are up for election. A look at leisure activities

Participation in such voting events shows the gradual change in people's leisure behavior, which the BAT Foundation for Future Issues also records in its “Leisure Monitor 2024”. In a comprehensive study carried out since 1982, over 3,000 citizens aged 18 and over express their preferences and wishes. The study results show an increased use of the Internet and digital media, there is more chilling and less active leisure activities.
