Alcohol and drugs: police uncover drivers at the weekend!
The Wörth police made people sit up and take notice during traffic checks on Friday. A total of four vehicle drivers were discovered under the influence of intoxicants or alcohol. In Neupotz, on the L549, the officers came across a 24-year-old and a 38-year-old driver in the morning, both of whom tested positive for narcotics. The Rhine Palatinate reports that another 24-year-old driver was checked on the B9 near Scheibenhardt at lunchtime. He also attracted negative attention: no valid driving license and being under the influence of drugs were the serious allegations.
Things became particularly explosive on Saturday night when a young cyclist was checked at the train station in Jockgrim. His breath alcohol level was an impressive 1.7 per mille. In all cases, blood samples were taken from the affected individuals and appropriate criminal proceedings were initiated. As great as the weather may be, driving under the influence remains a sensitive issue that needs to be taken seriously.
Is there a solution to the problem?
The city now faces the challenge of increasing citizens' sense of security and preventing further such incidents in the future. This could include increased controls and information campaigns. After all, road safety is a top priority, especially when you consider the dangers of drugs and alcohol on the road.
In a completely different context, in the media landscape, Fox News recently caused a stir. The broadcaster is reportedly planning a major restructuring of its primetime programming. Among other things, Sean Hannity will take over Tucker Carlson's slot at 8 p.m., while Greg Gutfeld and Jesse Watters will each receive their own shows in the primetime area. According to that Daily Wire This could be the biggest change in the station's history.
The changes come following the dismissal of Tucker Carlson, which made headlines last month. An insider described the new plans as "the boldest and most fearless" in Fox News history, and several scenarios are apparently being discussed.
