Semih Sahin inspires at FCK: A young star on a flying visit to the Betze!

1. FC Kaiserslautern has a new player on board, Semih Sahin, who has already caused great enthusiasm among the fans in the first two weeks of the training camp. The 25-year-old not only shows off his outstanding running strength and game intelligence, but also his remarkable pass security. In picturesque Vipiteno, he praises the optimal training conditions, the good food and the comfortable accommodation. “The weather is great, the places are okay,” says Sahin about his first impressions in the camp.

His roommate, Faride Alidou, also contributes to the positive atmosphere. Sahin describes Alidou as neat, but also a bit crazy, which provides the necessary variety. In the evening, Sahin uses the time to make phone calls and look for an apartment. But not only that, his contact with his girlfriend and friends also remains intense.

Integration into the team

Quick integration into the team doesn't seem to be a problem for Sahin. His first conversations with Erik Wekesser and Marlon Ritter were uncomplicated. The main reason for his move to FCK is the appreciation he is shown by coaches like Marcel Klos and sports director Thomas Hengen. What is particularly pleasing for Sahin is the familiarity with the region, because he comes from close by and already played at Betzenberg in the summer of 2023, where he scored a goal.

A lot has also happened at FCK in the last few weeks: Kenny Prince Redondo has extended his contract, while Kevin Kraus' contract will be automatically extended if he plays a certain number of games this season. The team is seen as being “hunted” in the second half of the Second Bundesliga – a challenge that the FCK would like to face with a stronger squad.

Another source also reports that the FCK has just received a flight from Antalya. There seems to be an exchange with other teams and possibly new transfers before the season, which will give the coming games additional excitement.
