Paddlerguilde Ludwigshafen: Season finale with exciting events!

The Paddlerguild 1933 Ludwigshafen concluded its season as usual with a colorful program. On September 28th there is a paddling tour from the Speyer Canoe Club, which will take the participants about 20 kilometers down the Rhine to the attractive club grounds at the Kiefweiher. This officially marks the end of the Palatinate canoe season and is a highlight for the members of the guild, which has been active for over 90 years and has won the hearts of canoeists for at least as long. The Paddlerguild is not only a local club, but also a canoe instructor recognized by the DKV since 2010, which gives them an excellent reputation in the region. Rhine Palatinate reports that the season was accompanied by a total of 43 club events.

But the year isn't quite over yet: from October 2nd to 6th, paddlers will explore the Weser in Lower Saxony. Six boats led by Hans-Peter Kaub will set out to discover new waters. Later in October, from the 15th to the 18th, a whitewater trip in Hüningen near Basel is on the program, organized by Frank Buchheister. For adventure seekers, this promises new, exciting experiences in white water.

Traditions and winter activities

The Santa Claus trip on December 7th from Speyer to Ludwigshafen is also very popular. This is one of the traditional events that strengthens the community and brings members together. Paddling together becomes an unforgettable experience with a festive touch.

The Autumn Eco Day will take place very soon on November 15th, which will serve to winterize the area between the dam breakthrough on the K7 and the clubhouse. This shows that the paddlers' guild actively cares about preserving its surroundings and, in addition to sporting activities, also values a sustainable approach to nature.

The offer of the Paddler Guild

The paddlers' guild offers taster courses for kayaking and canoeing training, which are primarily aimed at families. It is also possible to take part in day trips, weekend trips and holiday trips. As a DKV canoe station, the guild's boathouse is located at Rhine kilometer 418.3 in a beautifully protected landscape conservation area - exactly the right place for all water sports enthusiasts. For the sporty winter months, indoor pool training is organized for young people and adults, so that paddling is not neglected even in the cold season.

The club is also a place for socializing away from the water. Table tennis and senior gymnastics are offered in the clubhouse all year round - a wonderful way to combine community and sporting activity. The area is not only a place for sports, but also a space for fun and socializing, which makes the hearts of many active people beat faster.

According to a list, there are around 1,300 canoeing clubs in Germany. The Paddlerguild 1933 plays an important role not only as an active club, but also as a place where family traditions and sporting commitment go hand in hand. Their commitment to canoeing and their wide range of offerings make them an outstanding institution for water sports enthusiasts in the region.
