Fair tree auction: 1,200 euros collected for children with cancer!
In Sankt Sebastian, the fairground tree of the fairground company 1904 was recently put down, a very special moment that touched the hearts of those present. The event, which was brought about by the committed organization of Simone Wrobel, not only brought the village community together, but also served a good cause. A highlight of the celebrations was the auction of the tree, in which the guests got involved. The considerable sum of 1,200 euros was raised, which went to the Parents' Initiative of Children with Cancer Koblenz e.V., which has been supporting affected families for 35 years.
The fairground tree was bought at auction by Lukas Flöck, Matthias Kröber, Paul Heidger and Philipp Thielen for 500 euros. But that wasn't all! Other generous guests and the 1904 fair company made additional donations, raising the total amount to 1,200 euros. This campaign was very positively appreciated by Sara Occari, the first chairwoman of the parents' initiative, and the board of the fair company. Michelle Kräber, the first chairwoman of the fair society, presented the check to Sara Occari, thereby making the village community's commitment visible.
Support for families in need
The Parents' Initiative for Children with Cancer Koblenz e.V. is an important organization that supports children with cancer and their families during the difficult time of cancer treatment. This is done, among other things, by providing free apartments in parents' homes close to the clinic, which offer relief to those affected. The initiative finances its projects exclusively through donations and is recognized as a non-profit organization. Donation receipts can be issued upon request and the organization is authorized to offer access to online payment options such as PayPal and SEPA direct debit via a donation button. Information about this can be found on the website EIKKK.
“Such commitment to a good cause is a sign of solidarity and cohesion in our community,” says Sara Occari. “We are extremely grateful for the support we received from the fair company and the event participants.”
A warm end to the fair
This year, with all these positive actions, the fair came to a warm and meaningful end. The community showed that they are not only eager to celebrate, but also willing to give back. The auction of the fairground tree is not only a financial success, but also an important sign of hope and support for children with cancer and their families. It is to be hoped that many more actions will follow in the coming weeks that will further promote the commitment to the good cause.
The support of the city of Saint Sebastian and the tireless efforts of those helping show once again what a committed village community can achieve. This active participation in social projects makes it clear: every contribution counts, and together you can make a big difference!
