Breithausen takes stock: An orderly house for Rengsdorf-Waldbreitbach!
There is a spirit of optimism in the Rengsdorf-Waldbreitbach community! Hans-Werner Breithausen, who has been mayor since the merger eight years ago, takes stock and looks optimistically into the future. His term of office is coming to an end, and in an interview he discusses not only the successes of his legislature, but also his visions for the coming years. A central concern for Breithausen is to leave behind an orderly house - a goal that is clearly close to his heart. Rhein-Zeitung reports on how the community is well positioned.
“It’s not just about the numbers, but also about the quality of life,” says Breithausen. He highlights various topics that are of great importance to the community, such as the Wiedtalbad, which always provides a boost. Construction projects at daycare centers and schools are also on the agenda. “We have really shown a good hand here,” said the mayor.

Mobility is another key point that Breithausen would like to address. With new measures he wants to improve accessibility to the various districts. The mayor is aware that these topics are of great relevance to citizens and that many positive changes have already been initiated. The plans for the next few years are “promising,” says Breithausen. He hopes for sustainable development of the community.
The openness to new things is also reflected in the design of the projects: “We don’t just want to inform citizens, we want to actively involve them,” explains Breithausen. To this end, regular citizen forums should take place. “This can only be done together,” the mayor is certain.
He now looks forward with confidence to the further steps that will support the VG in the future. There is still a lot to do, and Breithausen has a clear goal in mind: “I want the next generation to grow up in a thriving environment.”
