Christmas sounds and joy: Moor4Fun inspires in Ratzeburg!

Here in Ratzeburg the pre-Christmas season rings in with a festive atmosphere and special offers. At the AMEOS senior residence, the anticipation of Christmas is kept alive through various events. Particularly noteworthy is the concert with the band “Moor4Fun”, which will take place on Sunday, December 14th, 2025 at 4 p.m. Visitors can look forward to a pleasant mix of classic Christmas songs, English holiday hits as well as pop, rock and folk. The ensemble is accompanied vocally by the talented Anna Karrasch. Admission is free, but donations are welcome to support the musical performances. External guests enter the facility via the main entrance, which is one of the largest employers in the region and offers a variety of medical services, including a rehabilitation clinic and a therapy center. The AMEOS team consists of around 600 dedicated employees who look after the elderly residents.

But it's not just music in the seniors' residence. The equally popular Advent bazaar took place last Saturday, attracting numerous visitors from near and far. The event opened its doors from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offered a lovingly designed range of handmade small items, decorative products and Christmas gift ideas. The real skill of the residents and external exhibitors became visible here. What was particularly outstanding was the warm, familiar atmosphere in which many nice conversations developed and warm encounters took place. The guests were treated to culinary delights with freshly baked waffles, which made the visit a pleasure. The bazaar was not only a place of sales, but also one of proximity and exchange, which increased the anticipation of the upcoming festival.

In addition to these festive highlights, lectures for seniors and their relatives are regularly planned at the AMEOS senior residence. The German Society for Senior Counseling offers a wide range of topics that can also enrich the daily lives of older people.
