Discover the new clown workshop in Lübeck: Unleash creativity!
Creativity and laughter will be a priority in Lübeck on August 23rd and 24th, 2025: A new Clown Weekend workshop at the Theater Fund:Us, Moislinger Allee 42, will bring a breath of fresh air into the colorful world of clowning. The events start at 4:00 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. This workshop is aimed not only at newcomers, but also at advanced participants such as dancers, choreographers, actors, theater teachers and musicians who would like to break down their inhibitions and develop their own creativity. HL-Live emphasizes that the focus here is on playing together, laughing and improvising.
But what exactly can participants expect? Together with the experienced course leaders Bettina Gläske and Annette Kowa, the participants will get to know the methodology of the inner team (according to Schultz von Thun). This is combined with playful elements from clowning and focusing. The goal is to discover your own authenticity and see vulnerability as an opportunity. The workshop offerings are aimed at anyone who wants to embark on a journey into the depths of their emotions and get to know their inner clown. Clownatelier invites you to promote the connection to your own emotional world and advance personal development.
Insights and reflection
The workshop not only addresses technical know-how and creative potential. Self-reflection also plays a central role. Questions like “Who is stopping whom from doing what?” or “Who is hiding behind who?” help participants shed light on their own personal development. It is an invitation to explore new facets of your own personality and perhaps let go of one or two old patterns.
The offer complements the international theater clowning workshops from Nose to Nose, which extend across Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy and North America. These workshops, founded in 1990 by Vivian Gladwell, are ideal for anyone seeking in-depth training in clowning. Nose to Nose relies on small group sizes so that each participant has enough space to develop and can benefit from the positive appreciation in a cooperative learning environment.
Event horizon
Nose to Nose's workshops are structured into different modules, with topics such as warm-ups, improvisation structures, feedback and the role of the clown archetype. The upcoming courses will take place on various dates from October 2024 to May 2026. Those interested in taking part should register early as places are limited and interest is high.
So whether you want to discover your inner clown or develop further in clowning - the upcoming workshops offer an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the creative world of clowns. Registrations and further information can be found on Lena Binski and the platforms of Clownatelier and Nose to Nose. Stop by and get inspired!
