Family day at VfL Lübeck: Exciting handball action for young and old!
On Sunday, November 9th, 2025, the Lübeck Hansehalle will be transformed into a colorful attraction for handball enthusiasts and families. VfL Lübeck-Schwartau invites you to a family day, presented by Sparkasse Holstein, which features two exciting handball games and an extensive supporting program. Guests can enter the hall from 12 p.m. to get in the mood for the first game of the male B youth team against TSV Kronshagen, which starts at 1 p.m. Entry to this youth game is free for VfL season ticket holders.
But that's not all: After the youth game, the hall is briefly cleared in order to prepare for the first team's evening game against the Eulen Ludwigshafen. Kick-off here is at 5 p.m. In addition to the exciting sport of handball, spectators can look forward to a diverse supporting program. These include, among other things, a photo box, face painting, a competition based on the savings bank safe and magical attractions in the hall's foyer, where a magician and a balloon artist will ensure a good mood. Mascot Toby Tiger will also be handing out free ice cream to the little guests.
Attractive ticket offers
Spectators can also expect very special ticket conditions. Families and handball enthusiasts can take advantage of the following offers:
- A: 1 Erwachsener + 1 Kind für 31€
- B: 2 Erwachsene + 1 Kind für 55€
- C: 2 Erwachsene + 2 Kinder für 62€
- D: 2 Erwachsene + 3 Kinder für 62€
Children up to 17 years of age only pay 5 euros for entry, while children with an account at Sparkasse Holstein even enjoy free entry. Adults with a savings bank account receive a 20% discount on the ticket price. Tickets are available both in the VfL online shop and at the box office.
Handball on the way to success
In terms of sport, the duel between VfL Lübeck-Schwartau and ASV Hamm-Westfalen also promises to be very exciting. The ASV is under pressure after a difficult relegation last season and wants to fight back. They are currently in 12th place and have only gotten two points in the last eleven games, most recently losing narrowly against TuS Ferndorf. Only four points separate them from VfL Lübeck-Schwartau, who are preparing for the coming challenge to secure important points and take the positive momentum from last week with them.
Coach David Röhrig has stressed the need for an aggressive and compact defense to keep ASV, who have conceded the fourth most goals in the league but are also in the top five in terms of goals scored, in check. With new addition Julius Meyer-Siebert, who has scored almost 100 goals and has the most assists and blocks, the Lübeck team has strong support. Spectators can look forward to an exciting handball festival – a day that promises both sport and fun for the whole family.
For all of these highlights and activities, VfL Lübeck-Schwartau would especially like to thank Sparkasse Holstein, which supports every goal scored and every seven-meter save with donations.
