Royal victories in adult ring riding in Vogelstange!
Overshadowed by brilliant weather, the adult ring riding took place on the Vogelstange on August 9, 2025. The atmosphere was excellent and the participants showed their best performances. Despite the absence of three riders who were unable to compete due to illness, the event was a complete success.
Riding on track 1 was particularly varied as the riders were free to choose their gait. There was a points system that rewarded the best performances. The eight riders on lane 2, on the other hand, rode exclusively at a canter, with a lance at a minimum height of 120 cm - a real eye-catcher!
Excitement and team spirit
By the lunch break, the participants were able to create a total of 20 chances at the ring. The spectators were treated not only to a fascinating competition, but also to delicious food with grilled dishes and refreshing salads. The team spirit was noticeable and the mutual support among the riders created a particularly friendly atmosphere.
After a short coffee break we continued straight away. The riders prepared for the royal riding, in which a total of four rings were won in an exciting individual competition. The tension and anticipation were literally palpable.
The champions of the day
Maybritt Börner and her horse Djafur prevailed on lane 1 and secured the royal title. On the second lane, the jump-off between Swea and Leo became a real highlight. Ultimately it was Leo Grossmann on Perla who was able to claim the title. Here are the results in detail:

Class division plays an important role in German equestrian sport. The riders are categorized into different performance classes based on their successes and ranking points wikipedia. Not only age groups are taken into account, but also the level of difficulty of the exams, which is reflected in a clear class division. An example of this is the exams from class E for the entry level up to the more difficult class S.
With this successful day behind them, all participants are looking forward to the next challenges in equestrian sport. Stay tuned for more coverage of local events!
