TSV St. Peter-Ording: 1,000 euro donation for future sports stars!

The day before yesterday, a pleasant occasion was celebrated in tranquil St. Peter-Ording: the sports club TSV St. Peter-Ording received a generous donation of 1,000 euros from SH Netz, a subsidiary of the HanseWerk Group. These funds should be invested specifically in children and youth work, especially in the popular areas of football and children's gymnastics. The campaign is part of a remarkable commitment by SH Netz employees, who voluntarily forego cents of their salary for a year. This shows once again how a small gesture can have a big impact. According to NDR reported, the company doubles the total amounts, meaning that a total of eleven clubs in Schleswig-Holstein benefit from this great initiative.

The HanseWerk Group, which supplies over 3 million customers in northern Germany with electricity, gas and heat, also shows its social commitment. Since the “RestCent” relief fund was founded in 2005, over 470,000 euros have been distributed to various non-profit organizations, including numerous hospices and support associations. In the current year, employees of the group of companies collectively collected around 21,000 euros, reported OpenPR.

Focus on community

But it wasn't just TSV St. Peter-Ording that was happy about the support. The Hospice Service Angeln e.V. also received 1,000 euros from the same campaign to support terminally ill people and their relatives. Peter Grau, Chairman of the General Works Council, emphasizes that half of the donations were collected by employees, who make a significant contribution by waiving small amounts of salary.

Next year, the HanseWerk Group plans to donate the donations to initiatives that help sick and disabled people as well as children in difficult life situations. This orientation demonstrates the ongoing support of social projects that are important to the community.

Commitment to the energy transition

The HanseWerk Group is not only known for its social activities, but also for its innovative solutions in energy supply. With modern approaches to decentralized energy generation and e-mobility, the company operates around 850 energy conversion plants and its own natural gas storage facility. In this way, the group not only contributes to the energy transition, but also ensures the training of young specialists in these future-oriented areas.

With its social and cultural projects and commitment to the energy transition, the HanseWerk Group is a shining example of responsible entrepreneurship in Northern Germany. Those interested can find further information about fundraising campaigns and social projects at Donationcompass.info.
