With no fee at all, but with free drinks and an organic sausage on offer, the musicians can show off their talent and often even hope for a generous tip in their hat. So it happens that even well-known artists like the Venezuelan musicianNene Vasquez, who used to be on stage with Shakira, regularly finds his way to Eckernförde.
Around 120 concerts take place in the Spieker every year - that's three events per week on the fixed dates Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The passion for music is the focus here. Whether rock, reggae or folk – the styles of the artists performing are variable, as long as the energy and enthusiasm are right.
