Unexplained holes in the Laichingen marketplace - what is behind it?
Laichingen, Deutschland - An incident on the Laichingen marketplace has caused confusion and concern. A reader of the Swabian newspaper reports anonymously about an unexpected event: a stone suddenly loosened out of the ground and fell into the depths. The reader found that five circular holes later became visible at the same place.
These holes are concreted and have a diameter of about 20 centimeters. At the moment they are temporarily covered with wooden boards and old street signs. Tree -headed Robin Menholz has already taken note of the situation and explains that the city is examining the causes of the holes internally. He suspects that they may be foundations that belong to a pavilion that was at this place over 20 years ago. However, specific information about this former pavilion and its owner are currently not available.
makeshift seals
The day after the incident, the holes were again sealed. Menholz announced that the city would report as soon as there are more precise information. It is to be hoped that this is not the only problem, because it remains unclear whether there are other holes in the bottom of the marketplace.
Laichingen, located in the Alb-Donau district in Baden-Württemberg, has around 11,500 inhabitants and an area of approx. 70 km². The city was probably founded in the 5th century by the Alemannen chief Laicho and had an interesting story. For example, Emperor Charles IV offered the city in 1363 city rights, which were, however, rejected by the residents because they did not want to build a city wall. Laichingen offers learning and development opportunities through their diverse cultural and sports facilities.
sights and club life
Among the sights in Laichingen are the St. Alban Church, the Liebfrauenkirche in Machtolsheim as well as the local and weaving museum and the cave history museum. An active club life also shapes the city and promotes the leisure activities of its citizens.
The development of cities in Germany has been an exciting topic for centuries. Most city foundations took place in the Middle Ages, while the basics of cities were often laid in the time of the Romans. Many residence cities were created in the Baroque, which are still part of the German city landscape. The history includes a variety of urban developments, starting with the clear structure of the Roman cities up to the often unplanned cities of the industrial age, which were located near new factories or mines.
In view of this historical background, the current situation on the Laichingen market square is not only a local event, but also a memory of the deeply rooted history of urban structures in the region. The citizens of Laichingen can now look forward to the knowledge of the city administration. For more information about the events on the marketplace and the city history, you can report the reports of the Schwäbische Zeitung href = "https://www.marktplatz-laichingen.de/13039"> visit Laichingen and on the comprehensive urban development stories on diercke fall back.
