Investigations and causes

The traffic police have started the investigation into this incident, and initial knowledge suggests that a violation of the legal driving requirement was the main cause of the accident. The 18-year-old might not have been careful when he threaded into the curve. It also turned out that the motorcycle no longer had a valid operating license due to inadmissible technical changes. This could result in additional legal consequences for the driver.

The two vehicles, which were badly damaged in the incident, suffered an economic total damage of around 6,000 euros each and had to be towed after the accident. The enormous costs and health consequences are in a strong contrast to the penalties imposed in the event of a conviction, which illustrates the seriousness of such traffic accidents.

In order to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident, an expert opinion was ordered and an expert is consulted. The results of this investigation could provide important information on which accident prevention measures must be taken in the future to prevent similar incidents.

The emergency services were also on site to cope with the situation. A team of seven paramedics, an ambulance, an emergency doctor and a rescue helicopter reacted immediately. The rescue operation was also supported by the fire brigade, which came with two vehicles and a total of 19 firefighters. It is thanks to their rapid intervention that the situation could be brought under control, despite the damage and injuries that the parties had suffered.

The K 1249 had to be completely blocked until shortly after midnight due to the accident. Such closures are not only important for traffic safety, but also for the rescue workers, and show the immediate scope of the effects that a traffic accident can have on the infrastructure and the people in the area.
