Volunteers wanted: This is how you can help in Grafschaft Bentheim!
The volunteer agency Grafschaft Bentheim is currently looking for committed volunteers for different facilities. Interested parties have the opportunity to contact 05921 961812 or by email to volunteering agency@Grafschaft.de.
We are looking for volunteers for the following organizations:
- Osterwald animal shelter : support in the outdoor and garden area, caretaker activities, craftsmanship, animal supply, cat area cleaning and walking go with dogs.
- Multi-generation house Nordhorn : Dedicated people to organize offers, preparation for events (assembly and dismantling, caretaker activities).
- rickscha-initiative Nordhorn : volunteer drivers for e-rickshaw as well as coordinator and bicycle mechanic.
- Repair Café Nordhorn : Technically experienced volunteers to support the repair of everyday objects.
- Senior Center Bad Bentheim : volunteers for handicrafts, reading, singing, singing, talks, walks, shopping, excursions, services, death care and dog visits.
- Digitallots for seniors : training to support older people in dealing with digital devices, training at the Volkshochschule Grafschaft Bentheim (VHS).
The next qualification course for digital spots starts on May 16, 2025 with four appointments from 3:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. A certificate course for duo senior accompaniment begins in autumn 2025; An information event will take place on May 22, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. in the VHS Nordhorn. Registrations for courses and events are possible online, by email or by phone. Interested parties can also register in the "Freinet" database of the volunteer agency.
digitall supports support older people
in Nienburg volunteers are committed to helping with digitall spots that help older people with orientation in the digital world. This initiative focuses in particular on senior citizens and offers support in various areas:
- Use of smartphones, tablets and notebooks
- installation of apps
- Security advice
- data backup
- image editing
Regular appointments take place in the Nienburg town hall on the second Tuesday of the month at 3:00 p.m. There are also appointments in the Vogelers Treff in Holtorf and at "We in the Nordertor", which are held on other Tuesdays.
