Creative diversity: Discover textile landscapes in the Nordhorn City Museum!
Stadtmuseum Nordhorn, 48531 Nordhorn, Deutschland - On February 6, 2025, the Nordhorn City Museum announced an exciting event that is under the motto "My home. Textile landscapes". As part of a creative course entitled "Frauke", women from all over the world created colorful landscapes with colors and textiles. The exhibition of the works created will take place from February 21 to March 16, 2025 in the Nordhorn City Museum, Nino-Allee 11.
The results of the project will be presented on February 21 at 3 p.m., for which all interested parties are cordially invited. In weekly meetings, the participants designed motifs from Nordhorn and the whole world, which were created in the form of cityscapes, abstract natural landscapes and historical buildings. The Stadtmuseum Nordhorn thus offers the framework and inspiration for a creative examination of history and present.
cooperation and funding
This project is the result of a collaboration between the Nordhorn City Museum, the Equal Opportunities Office of the City of Nordhorn, the Grafschaft Bentheim district and the Integration of the County of Bentheim district sports association. The initiative is supported by the Emsland landscape, which is responsible for the planned continuation of the project in 2025.
The opening times of the city museum are Tuesday to Saturday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The entrance fee is 4 euros and 3 euros, while children and young people can enjoy free admission.
