New Timberjacks-Restaurant: Celebration Festival in Bad Hersfeld!

On Monday afternoon, the topping-out ceremony of the new Timberjacks restaurant took place in Bad Hersfeld, and the weather conditions were significantly better than the groundbreaking before. This gastronomic highlight will be created on the former Ford site and is to open the doors in early 2025. Around 80 invited guests had the opportunity to visit the impressive wooden building, which comes up with a modern architecture, and to get a first culinary impression.

Thomas Balk, board member of the VR Bankverein Bad Hersfeld-Rotenburg, described the event as an important milestone for the city and the surrounding region. "People can look forward to a real gastronomic highlight," he said, emphasizing how important it was to have a partner like Timberjacks at his side. This cooperation aims to create a synergy that is crucial for the success of the project.

The restaurant design and building history

The Timberjacks restaurant is designed in American style with an ambience of natural wood tribes, which contributes to rustic aesthetics. The tribes required for the construction were already stored in Brotterode in 2022 to dry there. In September 2023, the log house on the manufacturing area of the Löffler Nature Stammhaus company began. After almost nine months of construction, the tribes are now ready to be transported to Bad Hersfeld and set up there.

Mayor Anke Hofmann was also pleased with progress: "It can be seen Wonderful what has already arisen here," she said, thanking the administration staff for the smooth coordination of the project. The restaurant will include a base area of 32 by 30 meters and has 253 interior places and 210 seats on a spacious outdoor terrace, which will give guests a nice view.

Right next to the restaurant, a hall for Battlekart and a VR-Serviced Apartments Hotel is currently being developed in parallel. In a future construction phase, further projects at the city entrance of Bad Hersfeld are also to be realized. Balk expressed the hope of making these negotiations to success soon and thus contributing to infrastructure and urban development.

The topping -out ceremony not only marked another construction progress, but also an opportunity for guests to test the culinary advantages of Timberjacks. A food truck was on site to give the invited guests a foretaste and to increase the anticipation for the official opening next year. Michael Herbst, Board of Directors at the VR Bankverein, Thomas Kemmer, the owner of Timberjacks, and guideline Christian Löffler held a short speech on the roof of the new building, which was celebrated with a traditional direction of judgment and a schnapps.

The VR-Bankverein eG had acquired the area at the Hochbrücke in October 2020, and the topping-out ceremony has taken a significant step towards the interior. The tenders for the trades have already been published and many orders have been awarded to domestic companies in order to advance the construction process promptly. All of this should ensure that the building can be handed over to Thomas Kemmer as planned at the end of the year.

The Timberjacks restaurant will not only offer the residents of Bad Hersfeld a new gastronomic experience, but also give visitors and tourists the opportunity to enjoy American cuisine in a unique ambience. The combination of modern design, rustic flair and regional ingredients promises a special experience for all guests.

Overall, the participants are looking forward to the opening and are excited to see how the new restaurant will be integrated into the region and the Gastronomic landscape of Bad Hersfeld. With a clear concept and committed partners, the Timberjacks restaurant could soon become a popular starting point for connoisseurs.
